Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 hourly / 40-44 hours per week

Job Duties

• Apply paint, stain, and coatings to interior and exterior surfaces
• Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, and filling cracks
• Select and mix paint colours according to specifications
• Erect scaffolding and set up ladders safely
• Apply wallpaper, fabric, and other coverings to walls
• Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths and masking tape
• Operate spray painting equipment for large surface areas
• Calculate material requirements and submit supply orders
• Repair drywall and plaster surfaces before painting
• Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment

Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Trade certificate or diploma

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding
• Work at heights on scaffolds and ladders
• Exposure to paint fumes and chemicals
