Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to assist a gentle 96-year-old female with daily living activities in her home. The ideal candidate will provide warm, attentive care to help maintain her safety, comfort, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care: Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious, easy-to-eat meals and snacks.
Light Housekeeping: Tidying up living areas, running the dishwasher, wiping counters, doing light laundry, and maintaining a safe, clutter-free environment.
Companionship & Safety: Providing attentive presence, cognitive engagement, and monitoring for safety/fall prevention.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) diploma or equivalent caregiving experience.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Clean Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
Patience, strong communication skills, and a warm, gentle demeanor.
References from previous elderly care positions.
