Job Description
The Human Resources Administrator (HRA) is a key figure in
the organization, tasked with supporting the administration of all HR actions.
This includes the creation and implementation of policies and procedures,
managing employee relations, supporting recruitment and selection, and ensuring
compliance with health and safety regulations. The HRA is also responsible for
providing functional support to the Executive Director and Program Manager to
ensure effective and timely employee performance management, and well-being
initiatives. They provide administrative support for employee relations
matters, such as handling conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions. The
HR administrator will be committed to maintaining a positive work environment
that fosters growth, development, and success for all team
members.
Requirements
· Post-secondary completion
in Human Resources, Business Administration, or another related field.
· Strong verbal and written
communication skills, this role is heavy on administration and organizational
skills of high calibre required.
· Excellent Knowledge and
understanding of Indigenous culture and teachings. Exposure to practices,
ceremonies, and ways of doing and being.
· Professional practitioner
with functional exposure to all areas of HR, accustomed to working with minimal
supervision and acting.
· Minimum of 5 years of
experience with 2 years as a manager is an asset.
· Proven analytical and
problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with MS
Office tools, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, internet, and general
office equipment.
· Current Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector
Screenings are required.
· Ability to proactively identify and analyze
issues in the workplace and design and implement solutions.
· Exceptional relationship-building skills.
· Knowledge of employment/labor laws and general
human resource policies and procedures.
