The Indigenous Student Advisor is responsible for providing culturally appropriate guidance and support to the Indigenous students at CityU Canada. The Advisor is a critical resource and an advocate, assisting students in navigating the academic, social, and cultural aspects of university life. The Advisor collaborates with university departments and external Indigenous organizations to create a supportive and inclusive environment for Indigenous students to thrive academically and personally.
This role aims to enhance Indigenous students’ educational and personal success by providing specialized advising and advocacy that respects and incorporates Indigenous cultures, traditions, and perspectives.
