The Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) invites applications for up to two full-time tenure stream appointments in Mathematics. The appointments will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Candidates in all areas of Mathematics, Pure and Applied Mathematics, will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the further development of Mathematics at the University of Toronto and also to the further expansion of our Department in that direction in the future. They may also be able to enhance their research through collaboration with institutions outside the University of Toronto, such as the Fields Institute.

Other teaching-related activities can include performance as a teaching assistant or course instructor, experience leading successful workshops or seminars, student mentorship, or excellent conference presentations or posters.
Candidates must also show evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and to the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment, as demonstrated through the application materials.
The successful candidates will also have an appointment in the tri-campus Graduate Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervisions, and to participate actively in the Graduate Department of Mathematics.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
